Alex & Rose celebrated their wedding at Slaugham Place in Sussex on the most lovely spring day in May. The perfectly blue skies and warm sun was almost too good to be true on what can be quite a temperamental time of the year! The church ceremony was held at The Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Horsham and then we continued onto the beautiful Slaugham Place. Once an Elizabethan Manor, its Grade II listed ruins now stand as an incredible backdrop for weddings and events.
Following groom prep and the ceremony (with the most gorgeous floral arch), we headed to Slaugham Place. Alex and Rose followed behind in a vintage car, before being announced through the 16th Century Elizabethan arch ruins. After canapés in the ruins with acoustic tunes from a four piece band in the background, we headed out into the most lovely golden late afternoon light of the woodland for some couple portraits with Alex and Rose.
Speeches were then held in the arch ruins which made for a very special location! We then moved to the marquee, where the father of the bride had arranged a surprise bagpiper, in memory of a close family member. The evening ended with an incredibly talented band - see the gallery below...
