It’s very exciting to feature this lovely day! Celebrating at the beautiful Huntsham Court on the Exmoor-Devon border, Katy and Davy were able to truly make the most of the venue. Starting with an outdoor ceremony amongst the trailing florals of the manor house gardens, they then celebrated the rest of the wedding day between the expansive grounds of the estate and its ornate interiors.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I’m always looking out for areas with beautiful light and contrast. It’s for this that it’s always a pleasure to work as a wedding photographer at Huntsham Court; being a historic manor house, there’s much of this lovely light and shadow all around. Not only does this elevate images but it also makes this venue a beautiful backdrop for wedding celebrations!

Following an outdoor canapé reception in the sunshine, Katy and Davy and their guests moved inside, for the wedding breakfast and speeches. As a documentary style wedding photographer, the speeches are always a lovely part of the day, giving many opportunities to capture the reactions and emotions of the couple and their guests! An exclusive-use country house, it lends itself well to wedding weekends and celebrations like Katy and Davy’s, where you can truly make the most of the venue for the ceremony and beyond.
