Approach
Approach
Documentary wedding photographer: One who captures the world as it exists, without intervening in what unfolds.
Documentary Wedding photography
For me, itâs always been about documentary photography. What drew me to photography all those years ago was its realness and the way that it can truly take you back to a moment in time. Itâs this realness which makes each wedding entirely different and unique and I love the challenge of turning up to every wedding like itâs a blank slate â a new story to tell.

Much like the definition, being a documentary style wedding photographer is all about capturing wedding moments as they unfold, in an organic way. Far from staged or uncomfortable, the approach is centred around observing and documenting natural emotions and narratives of the day.
Throughout the wedding day, Iâll be there gathering and compiling moments. Powerful stories in their own rights, each moment will come together to create the bigger story of your wedding day, providing you with memories which really mean something.

What does my pricing include?
My pricing is for full day wedding photography coverage. This means that Iâll be there from morning preparations (donât worry, youâll have some time to get yourself up and ready first!), all the way through to the evening celebrations. Iâll generally stay until just after the first dance, however it’s not a hard and fast rule – Iâll always stay on for a bit longer if thereâs action. Youâve also got the option to add in a second photographer if it might be of interest â Iâve got some more information on second photographers here.
After the wedding, youâll get a fast preview gallery with some highlight images within a week. Youâll then receive a full online gallery via USB and online with high resolution digital downloads, within two months of the wedding date. You’re also welcome to add on wedding album(s) and prints if desired â please get in touch for my albums and prints brochure.

Is wedding photography a good idea for people who don’t love being in front of the camera?
Absolutely. As a documentary wedding photographer, my approach is all staying in the periphery of moments, capturing the day as it unfolds rather than directing it. This way, youâll be able to just enjoy the day with your friends and family, without having to worry about posed or uncomfortable moments. What’s the Booking Process?
As someone who doesnât appreciate scrolling through pages and pages of contracts and paperwork, Iâve made sure that the booking process is super straight forwards.
Â
Firstly, pop me over a message on my contact form and Iâll see if your wedding dates is available. Then, Iâll invite you onto a quick 20 minute zoom/phone call, where I can explain a bit more about my approach and what I offer, as well as hearing about your wedding plans and any questions you might have. After this, Iâll send over my terms and conditions (theyâre short and concise, I promise!) and a booking form. Once youâve sent them back with the deposit, Iâll be happy to confirm your booking! If this all sounds good, Iâd love to hear from you.
